Will party member really have more chances to be hired when applying? Urgent! !

At present, it is the peak period for college graduates to apply for jobs. When recruiting talents, some enterprises clearly emphasize that party member candidates can be given priority. Some people questioned this in an article in China Youth Daily on June 2nd, arguing that it is unfair and inappropriate to emphasize "party member comes first" for non-party member students. The author has been thinking for a long time and thinks that this problem should be treated dialectically.

First of all, the emphasis on "party member priority" shows that some employers pay more and more attention to the ideological and moral quality of the talents they hire.

According to the author's understanding, not only some party and government organs, state-owned enterprises (or state-owned restructuring enterprises) pay attention to the ideological and moral literacy of the hired talents, but also some joint ventures and private enterprises pay more and more attention to this. I'm afraid the reason is self-evident, and some enterprises even do so on the basis of summing up the lessons of employing people in the past. Compared with the previous "diploma-only theory", paying attention to the ideological and moral quality of the hired talents, having both ability and political integrity, can be regarded as a rational return of enterprise talent selection standards and employment concepts in a sense. This is not only understandable but also commendable.

Secondly, as the article said, party member's Excellence is only a conclusion drawn from the group, and not every party member's ideological and moral quality is higher than that of non-party member.

However, when recruiting talents, enterprises obviously cannot identify the ideological and moral qualities of each candidate one by one, and can only rely on a hard "standard" that can be seen and touched. It is precisely because of "joining the league" that party member (including student party member) has relatively excellent ideological and moral qualities, and "party member" naturally becomes the priority recruitment standard for some enterprises. Although this standard has the defect of "generalization", for those enterprises that want to recruit talents with excellent ideological and moral quality, they can only rely on this standard, and there is no more comprehensive and reasonable standard to replace it. This is like an enterprise emphasizing the qualifications of candidates when recruiting talents. Almost everyone knows that a high degree of education does not mean a high ability, and a low degree of education may be more plastic, but "conformity", after all, a high degree of education and a high ability are directly proportional, at least not inversely proportional. Therefore, doctoral students are better than master students, and master students are better than undergraduates, so it is logical to be given priority in the talent market.

Thirdly, "party member Priority" belongs to the scope of enterprise recruitment autonomy, and it is their due right for some enterprises to consider and select talents according to their own talent measurement standards.

Moreover, "party member priority" only means that enterprises will give priority to party member when other conditions of applicants are basically the same, which does not mean that non-party member will be rejected. This is completely different from "under 35 years old" and "except ××" emphasized by some enterprises in recruitment, and does not constitute discrimination against non-party member candidates. As for whether "party member Priority" means that party member candidates seek personal gain and privilege, as mentioned above, as long as we recognize that party member has a high ideological and moral quality and regard this quality as a part of his personal quality, then "party member Priority" is actually "quality priority", which is probably far from personal gain and privilege, but it is the embodiment of fair competition.

The author thinks that on the issue of "giving priority to party member", we should pay more attention to whether colleges and universities are strict, open, transparent, fair and just in carrying out students' party member work. Because party member graduates are often given priority in the talent recruitment market, it is inevitable that some students apply to join the Party for opportunistic purposes, and it is also inevitable that some people engage in unhealthy practices in developing students' work in party member. If students can't be fair and just in the process of joining the Party, then the fairness and rationality of "party member priority" in enterprise recruitment can't be discussed. If the reputation of party member, a student, is seriously damaged by this injustice, then "non-party member priority" may appear in the future talent recruitment market.
