The school, formerly known as Rongcheng No.7 Middle School, was transformed into a vocational school in August 1983 and was named Weihai Fisheries School in August 1996. In May 214, five schools, namely Rongcheng Vocational Secondary School, Rongcheng Adult Secondary School, Rongcheng Third Vocational Secondary School, Rongcheng Fourth Vocational Secondary School and Rongcheng Finance and Trade Secondary School, were integrated and moved to the new campus-No.1, Haiwan South Road, Rongcheng City.
