Responsible for the development of infrared guided anti-tank missiles, leading military missions involving more than 100 technicians from three universities, three research institutes and two factories. 1978 made a technical report on the development of this weapon system on behalf of Jilin province at the national anti-tank missile work report meeting, which was praised by the National Missile Administration at that time. In addition, Hou Lantian is also responsible for the design and development of multi-element subtraction infrared tracking goniometer. Based on the existing cross detectors abroad, the goniometer adds the technology of designing multiple detectors by subtraction, and develops related electronic technology, which improves the elimination of background, increases the signal-to-noise ratio and realizes effective tracking. These works provided experience for the later development of anti-tank missiles.

4. A new infrared heating theory is put forward.

In the promotion of infrared heating energy-saving technology started by the State Economic and Trade Commission in the early 1980s, people almost invariably adopted the matching absorption heating theory of Hideki Hosokawa of Japan. This method has many shortcomings and is even wrong under some conditions. In order to make people in this field correctly understand the mechanism of infrared radiation heating materials, Hou Lantian put forward the theory of unmatched absorption of the interaction between infrared radiation and materials of thick materials and the theory of full-mode coverage in rapid heating infrared heating technology. This is summarized from practice and widely used in practical engineering. Two typical examples are the infrared car painting booth of Changchun Tieyou Group (won the third prize of the National Spark Award) and the high infrared heating technology being promoted by the State Economic and Trade Commission. Only these two projects have created tens of millions of output value in recent years, saving a lot of energy for the country.

After 1985, we began to develop optical fiber for transmitting CO2 laser energy, which was a key research project of our country at that time, only less than five years later than foreign countries. He has successively undertaken provincial key projects, national key projects and national 863 projects in 75, 85 and 95, and achieved world-class results, which were highly praised by academicians such as Wang Daheng and Zhou Bingkun.

Hou Lantian systematically studied the structure, defects and properties of amorphous silicon dioxide and its application in optical fibers by various means, especially the methods and mechanism of reducing non-bridging oxygen defects, E-center defects and peroxy-based defects in timely glass. According to Hou Lantian's achievements, Jilin Provincial Science and Technology Commission has made a key research on CO2 laser CVD. At the same time, Hou Lantian also studied the characteristics of liquid-core optical fiber made of time-space core optical fiber. The direct forming method of single crystal fiber was studied with hollow optical fiber as crucible (task 75863). On the basis of hollow-core time-sensitive fiber, the research of polycrystalline GeO2 _ 2 hollow-core fiber continues, and gratifying progress has been made.

Hou Lantian began to study single crystal energy transmission fiber and turned to study hollow polycrystalline fiber, which is a leap. The pure GeO2 _ 2 _ 2 polycrystalline hollow fiber of Hou Lantian's team is a pioneering work. It combines the advantages of crystal fiber and hollow fiber to produce world-advanced energy transmission fiber, which has been used in hospitals and adopted by foreign countries (South Korea, etc.). ) manufacturer. We have created the technology of depositing and drawing polycrystalline GeO2 _ 2 hollow optical fiber, and adopted the method of nano polycrystalline layer and double-layer dielectric film, which reduced the transmission loss of optical fiber, raised the transmission threshold of optical fiber and improved the service characteristics of optical fiber, and made important contributions to the development of energy transmission optical fiber in China. The photonic crystal fiber we developed has been used by our company, and has achieved excellent scientific research results and high-level papers. In particular, the integrated photonic crystal fiber developed by Hou Lantian's team is the first in the world and the level is also advanced in the world.
