Taikang Xianlin Drum Tower Hospital is a large-scale third-class general hospital integrating medicine, teaching and research. Its predecessor was Nanjing Xianlin Gulou Hospital. Taikang Insurance Group and Nanjing Gulou Hospital were established in September 20 15 and became members of Gulou Hospital Group. On April 20 16, it became the affiliated hospital of Nanjing University School of Medicine.

The total area of the hospital 165 mu. The basic medical area covers outpatient, emergency and inpatient departments, and is mainly composed of three functional areas: basic medical area, international medical rehabilitation area and medical training center.
