1984 In March, Canadian artist Mr. Chen and Dr. Fu, Dean of Rapinat College in Canada jointly held the "Exhibition of Farmers' Paintings in Huxian County, China" at the Art Center of Rapinat College, with 60 works on display. The exhibition also introduced Wang Jinglong's family life, productive labor and personal situation. This solo exhibition was held in Canada for the first time, becoming the first farmer painter in the world to hold a solo exhibition, which caused a sensation in Canada. Later, he held two art exhibitions in the United States and other places, which made him famous at home and abroad. In the same year, Go to the Theatre won the provincial pioneer award. From 1985 to 1990, he held more than 10 art exhibitions in Hong Kong and the United States.

1985, the national peasant painting conference was held in Huxian county. Leaders and experts commented on his paintings: Wang Laoguai's paintings are unique, and they are really "no clouds and no fog, and there is no fairy in the Yuanyun".
