What is process solution

Said that the forming process of a gear includes the following: lathe processing, keyway processing, gear hobbing, and heat treatment. The process of designing and producing gears

is actually designing a process flow.

Process: It is the execution of each basic link of the technological process. For example, the gear forming process includes lathe processing, spline machine processing, gear hobbing, and heat treatment. Sometimes, the same product can be composed of different processes using different arrangements of processes.

Working step: In the same process, the action is performed on the cutting surface while the cutting amount remains unchanged. (One working step) For example

Drilling two holes of the same size on the same surface of a metal plate is the same working step. If the surfaces are on different surfaces, or the holes have different sizes (as long as it involves loading and unloading tools or workpieces), multiple work steps will be involved.

The forming process card of the work gear will look like this: turning forming process--slotting process (or spline machine tool processing)--gear hobbing process--nitriding process.

The process card contains the detailed description and sequence of the work steps. For example, when performing the turning and forming process, the process card will say:
