Because our county is located in the geographical environment of the Loess Plateau, the local animal husbandry is mainly stocking, and the sheep varieties are mainly local native goats, with a small number of cashmere goats and a small number of dairy goats. In recent years, the state has vigorously advocated the implementation of the policy of returning farmland to forests, so that most local goats are directly slaughtered or sold to other places, and only a few cashmere goats are kept in captivity. After the actual situation in recent years, I decided to use the local dairy goat as the female parent and choose Boer goat with good meat quality and large body. Boer goat has good meat quality, large size, more litter, more breast milk and high survival rate. Through hybridization, we are confident to cultivate a mutton sheep with large size, good meat quality, fast growth, strong reproductive ability and strong disease resistance, and provide safe fresh mutton for the vast market.
