1. If you want to find a job based on English, your computer level is not that important. It is enough to be able to use office software proficiently. This is a requirement of general foreign companies.

2. In terms of level, CET-4 is not enough for English majors. Because many companies do not recognize professional level 4 at all. They only recognize high scores from university level 4 and level 6, or professional level 8. Very few companies care about Professional Level 4, which is a particularly strange phenomenon, and they simply don’t know that Professional Level 4 is as difficult as College Level 6.

3. So you’d better take the 8-level exam. Generally, if an employer wants an English major, it will definitely require a 8-level certificate.

4. It doesn’t matter if you can no longer take the exam. It is very useful to take some translation certificates, such as CATTI, which is the interpretation and translation qualification test of the Ministry of Personnel. It is very useful when looking for a job, especially when looking for a job based on English proficiency.

5. If you particularly want to join a foreign company, English ability is actually a necessary but not sufficient condition. That is to say, you must have English ability, but at the same time, your other qualities must be high. When I was interning at a foreign company, I felt that this was indeed what they required.
