Even so, most students (87.35% in liberal arts and 84.50% in science) will continue to take CET-6 after passing CET-4 for reasons such as "forced by the social situation" and "one more certificate guarantees one more point". However, most students said that they would not make up classes outside the school to successfully pass CET-4 and CET-6, nor would they often use other course time to prepare for CET-4 and CET-6.
Some students (46.64% in liberal arts and 59.20% in science) think that this is decided by the school, but they (70.62% in liberal arts and 67.00% in science) hope that it will not be linked, because many students who are not interested in English can have more energy to develop their other interests. Some students (47.69% in liberal arts and 43.50% in science) said that even if the degree is decoupled from Band 4, they should continue to take the exam. After all, they can have an extra trump card when looking for a job for postgraduate study in the future, and the society also attaches great importance to the CET-4 and CET-6 certificates. All recruiting units even take the results of CET-4 and CET-6 as the threshold. There are also some students whose motivation to learn English is to find a foreign wife or husband in the future. Many students (80.24% in liberal arts and 62.90% in science) only know a little about the new reform of CET-4 and CET-6, but the specific content is not very clear. When asked "how to change the score from 100 to 7 10", most students expressed doubts and felt that the soup had not changed; Others hold an indifferent attitude; Others feel bad, which will increase the learning burden.
There are several views on how to cancel the qualification line and replace the qualification certificate with the report card, which are summarized as follows:
1. This is an improvement, fair and reasonable.
2. There will be an invisible qualified line in the school society to card students.
3. A good teacher is unlucky for a poor student.
4. Increase students' psychological pressure.
Respondents also expressed their feelings about English as one of the public courses in universities. Everyone (75.36% in liberal arts and 69.20% in science) still agreed that everyone in universities should learn English. After all, English is now an international language. Learning more can help you gain more opportunities and improve your cultural quality. However, they have a lot of opinions on the current English teaching system: too many people with high marks and low abilities have been trained, the teaching methods are rigid, lack of pertinence, and lack of language environment ... It seems that schools should encourage teachers to try to integrate new elements into their usual teaching, instead of following the book.
The questions and opinions raised by students in the English curriculum survey are summarized as follows:
1. Have the opportunity to teach foreign teachers, strengthen oral English teaching, strengthen listening and speaking ability, and pay attention to practical application ability.
2. Cancel the level test and create an environment for learning English. Decide whether to study according to different needs, and don't use a volume to decide your life.
3. Interest comes first, don't force it.
4. Start learning Japanese, French and other second foreign languages.
5. Hold more lectures at Band 4 and Band 6.
