The employment activities of Chongqing Institute of Mobile Communications include: the 2023 double-election meeting for graduates of ordinary colleges and universities, the 2023 IT special job fair for graduates of Chongqing Institute of Mobile Communications, and the employment theme group day organized by the School of Communication and Information Engineering.

Chongqing Institute of Mobile Communication is located in Hechuan University Town, Chongqing. It is a full-time private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and headed by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. It is a pilot institution for the reform in Universities of Applied Sciences, China.

In August 2000, with the approval of Chongqing Education Commission, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Chongqing Yitong Industrial Corporation jointly established Yitong College of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. In February, 2006, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications was renamed Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications Mobile Communication College was renamed Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications Mobile Communication College.

From June 5438 to February 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was agreed that Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications would be restructured into Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the establishment of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications would be abolished.

As of May 2022, the school has two campuses, Hechuan and Qijiang, with a total area of 3 100 mu, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 1 187970 yuan; Secondary college 12, with 44 undergraduate majors and 4 specialist majors; Full-time teachers 1200, with nearly 28,000 students.
