Guangdong Provincial Museum Volunteer Interview Notes
I participated in the 2021 Guangdong Provincial Museum Volunteer Recruitment Interview some time ago. I received a notification yesterday that I passed the interview. Now I will share some of my experiences with you.
In fact, I was quite nervous on the day of the interview. I originally thought that I was here to be a volunteer and do good deeds. Do I still need to go through five levels and defeat six generals? Turns out I really want it.
I was there for the afternoon show. I originally wanted to go to the nearby library when I got there at noon, but I found that there were many people standing at the door, all coming for interviews. I really felt a sense of competition. The taste, and when I looked closer, I saw that many of them were college students. Hey, young people are energetic and enthusiastic.
It was almost time for my interview, so I went in and waited. I signed up for the history explanation group, a group of five people, and there were about 20 groups in two days. There are others nearby, such as the foreign language group, publicity group, etc., and many people are waiting for interviews there. I heard that more than 2,000 people signed up, and then more than 500 people were shortlisted for interviews based on their resumes.
The process of the history group is generally to explain the content to you half an hour in advance. You can check it on your mobile phone to expand it, and then explain the simulation in three minutes at the interview site. This simulated explanation by our explanation team was actually expected, but I was still a little nervous. I quickly checked the information and silently organized the language memorization.
During the interview, I first introduced myself, then gave a mock explanation, and finally the interviewer asked a few questions. Personally, I feel that self-introduction should be sincere and concise. The interviewer will have your previously filled out resume in hand, so there is no need to make a long speech or praise yourself. After all, if you set it too high, you will easily be unable to get up later, haha. During the simulation explanation, I think that in addition to controlling the speed of expressions, movements, and speech, the most important thing is not to give up on yourself and repeat yourself if you feel that you have not spoken well. This is very demoralizing, and there is no need for perfectionism. After all, we are here. It is the interview stage. Many people are explaining it for the first time. It cannot be perfect, so just go smoothly. If you pursue details too much, it will affect the overall impression. Finally, when answering questions, you must be confident, approachable, and smile. After all, you are interviewing volunteers. How can you do it without affinity? Also, be concise. It is very tiring for the interviewer to interview so many people, so you must think about them. , if you think about it, if you are very verbose, they will be impatient and embarrassed to interrupt you, so they can only secretly give you low marks in the scoring items.
My previous interview results have always been good, and this time I actually feel that my performance is not bad, but I don’t know whether I will be admitted in the end, because I am not sure about the admission ratio (in the end, I personally estimated that the number of applicants was 40:1, and the interview The number of people is about 10:1), I think the probability of success is about 70 to 30. In fact, I am looking forward to being selected. After all, I can dedicate myself and get a lot of exercise.
So I was anxious these past few days while waiting for the results. I didn’t have much confidence whether I would succeed or not, so I could only look at the final results. I finally found out that I had been admitted, and I felt very happy.
But admission is actually only the second step. There will be subsequent training, internships, draft memorization, simulations, etc. You must pass them before you can actually get on the job. So, it’s a long road ahead!
