Functional zoning of "Greater Chenzhou"

Considering the present situation, regional characteristics and development prospect of Chenzhou city, the urban structure of Chenzhou city center should be planned as "one body with four wings". "Integration" refers to the main body of the existing urban built-up area, and "four wings" refers to the four relatively independent urban functional areas in the east, south, west and north of the existing urban built-up area.

3. 1 "One City" Functional Positioning

At present, the main body of urban built-up area includes the old city and Baishui group, with a total area of about 35 square kilometers, with Baishui in the east, Chenzi-Guiyang high-grade highway in the south, Luoxianpu area in the west and Xiameiqiao area in the north. The old city is the administrative and commercial center, and Baishui Group is the education and sports center.

3.2 "East Wing" Functional Positioning

"East Wing" refers to the non-ferrous metal industrial park based on Shizhuyuan Mine and the new industrial park based on the export processing zone of the new urban area. It mainly distributes the deep processing industry and new industries of non-ferrous metals and will become the new industrial center of Chenzhou City.

3.3 Functional Orientation of "West Wing"

"West Wing" refers to the new Chenzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, which consists of Wuguang New District, Wanhuayan and Huatang. Mainly distributed in high-tech industries, commerce and finance, it will become a new commercial center and high-tech industry incubator in the city.

3.4 Functional Orientation of "South Wing"

Relying on Huaishuxia Group and Shigaitang, the "South Wing" will be incorporated into Aoshang Town in the long term, focusing on the development of modern warehousing, transportation, commerce and supporting industries, and building it into a new logistics center in the city and a key township industrial community in Hunan Province.

3.5 Functional Orientation of "North Wing"

"North Wing" is a tourist and leisure resort relying on Xujiadong, Matouling, Suxianling Scenic Area and Feitianshan Geopark, focusing on developing hot spring tourism and supporting tourism industry, and will become the ecological leisure resort center of Chenzhou City.

"Four Wings" are the source of power, vitality and charm for Chenzhou's urban development. Chenzi-Guihua high-grade highway connects the east, south and west wings and is the main axis of urban development. The industrial parks along the highway mainly lay out industries such as deep processing of non-ferrous metals, electronic information, energy and building materials, biomedicine, tobacco and food, machinery and chemical industry, and build the Chenzi-Osmanthus fragrans industrial corridor to lead and drive the city's new industrialization, new urbanization and new rural construction.
