From June 5 to February 2003, Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government reorganized the coal production and marketing enterprises in northern Shaanxi according to the requirements of modern enterprise system, and established a new Datong Coal Mine Group Limited Liability Company. The company has 73 pairs of mines and 800,000 employees' families.
