Which units recruit civil servants?

Civil service positions are mainly divided into the following three categories:

Municipal legal organs:

Courts, procuratorates, judicial bureaus and public security bureaus.

Office of the municipal government:

Municipal Editorial Office, Housing Authority, Science and Technology Bureau, Finance Bureau, Audit Bureau, Quality Supervision Bureau, Personnel Bureau, Development and Reform Commission, Archives Bureau, China Merchants Bureau, Letters and Calls Office, Security Office, Culture Bureau, US Food and Drug Administration, Information Industry Bureau, Urban Management Office, Animal Husbandry Bureau, Intellectual Property Office, Forestry Bureau, Sports Bureau, Grain Bureau, Labor and Social Security Bureau, Religious Affairs Bureau, Health Bureau, Procurement Center, Environmental Protection Bureau, Seismological Bureau.

Civil servants are divided into Selected Graduates, national civil service examination positions and provincial and municipal civil service positions. Selected Graduates is a reserve force for training national cadres. The national civil servants are directly under the jurisdiction of the state, while the provincial and municipal civil servants are under the separate jurisdiction of the provinces and cities.
