Harbin Electric Power Group is a state-owned enterprise and a central enterprise. Harbin Electric Group, the full name of Harbin Electric Group Co., Ltd., is a central enterprise managed by the State Council State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

Brief introduction of Harbin Electric Group:

Harbin Electric Power Group was developed by six of the 156 key construction projects aided by the Soviet Union during the first five-year plan period. It is the earliest research base of power generation equipment in China based on the original three major power plants in Harbin (Harbin Boiler Factory, Harbin Motor Factory and Harbin Steam Turbine Factory), and it is also an important state-owned backbone enterprise with central management and national security and the lifeline of the national economy.

Harbin Electric Power Group has now formed an industrial layout with nuclear power, hydropower, coal power, gas power, electric drive devices, power plant turnkey projects and other leading products, which has led and promoted the development process of power generation equipment industry in China from scratch, from small to large, from weak to strong.

Harbin Electric Power Group has always adhered to serving and practicing the national strategy to help the development and revitalization of the power generation equipment industry in China. It has produced nearly 500 million kilowatts of power generation equipment and equipped more than 500 power stations at home and abroad. Large hydropower units account for half of the domestic installed capacity, coal-fired power units account for more than one-third of the domestic installed capacity, heavy-duty gas turbines account for one-third of the domestic market share, and nuclear power units account for one-fifth of the total domestic equipment.
