Sichuan Archives School was established in 1987, directly under Sichuan Archives Bureau. It is the only newly-built, regular and specialized secondary school for archives in China, a national key secondary school for archives system, a provincial key secondary school and an education and training base for archives cadres in Sichuan Province. The school is located in Ya 'an, an ecological pearl in western Sichuan, adjacent to Chengdu (about 1 hour drive from expressway), with convenient transportation. The school was once located in the Party School of Xikang Provincial Party Committee, the Primary Party School of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Sichuan Provincial Archives.
