Chongqing University of International Business and Economics (formerly Foreign Business School of Chongqing Normal University) is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in 20001. Enrollment began in 2002. In 2003, it was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education. In 20 12, it was awarded a bachelor's degree. In 2020, it was evaluated by the expert group of the Ministry of Education and transformed into an independent private undergraduate college.

It was once rated as "National Advanced Independent College" and "China Independent College of Brand Influence", and it was the first batch of pilot universities for comprehensive reform of "three rounds of education" in Chongqing.

After 20 years of development, the school has formed a discipline pattern with economic management as the main body and all-round development of literature, science, engineering, art and teaching.
