All kinds of examples show that college students' social adaptation should be highly valued by universities and college students themselves. It is particularly important and urgent for higher vocational students who live in the disadvantaged position of higher education in China to improve their social adaptability as soon as possible.

The social adaptability of higher vocational college students mainly depends on two aspects. One is the knowledge and skills of students, and the other is the degree of socialization of students.

At present, the knowledge and skills of higher vocational college students can't be compared with those of undergraduate college students in a short time. In recent years, many higher vocational colleges have taken advantage of the reform and expansion of colleges and universities to upgrade from the original secondary vocational schools. The shortage of teachers, unreasonable structure, lack of teaching facilities and low level of running schools are the congenital deficiencies of these newly-built higher vocational colleges. It should be said that these higher vocational colleges urgently need to improve the level of teachers as soon as possible, especially to cultivate and introduce urgently needed "double-qualified" talents, and to allocate and improve the laboratories and equipment needed to train urgently needed skilled talents. However, it will take a long time and huge investment to fundamentally improve and solve the above situation. In order to seize the development opportunity, these higher vocational colleges choose and implement the image engineering strategy. Most of the limited funds are invested in land acquisition, building teaching buildings, libraries, office buildings and student dormitories, so as to seize the opportunity in the escalating enrollment war and have no time to take care of those problems that need to be improved and solved urgently. It is unrealistic for students in higher vocational colleges to greatly improve their knowledge and skills in a short time by virtue of their own resources and abilities. Therefore, improving the degree of socialization as soon as possible is the only realistic choice for students in higher vocational colleges.

To improve the socialization of higher vocational students as soon as possible, higher vocational colleges are dominant, society and students' families are necessary supplements, and higher vocational students should also actively play their subjective initiative.

According to the current actual situation, we can operate from the following aspects:

First, clear the guiding ideology.

For students in higher vocational colleges, the school is a cultural hotel, and they can only stay temporarily but not for long. Therefore, the mission of higher vocational colleges lies in helping and promoting the students they recruit, constantly improving their learning ability and improving the level of social development, rather than just imparting knowledge. What's more, due to the congenital deficiency of higher vocational colleges, it is doubtful whether the knowledge and skills they impart to students can be applied to social life.

The quality and ability of social development of students in higher vocational colleges are based on the early social development education carried out by schools at all levels. However, this kind of early social development education is scattered, unsystematic, and some of it is even unscientific. Therefore, the social development education in higher vocational colleges is very important, which determines the social adaptability of students in higher vocational colleges. Through studying in higher vocational colleges, students in higher vocational colleges will supplement, revise and integrate their existing social knowledge and skills, so as to acquire basic skills to participate in social life, accept political beliefs, ideological systems, social norms and behavior patterns highly respected by society, and successfully play the role expected by society, thus continuously improving their social development level.

From this point of view, higher vocational colleges, as the main body to promote students' socialization, should be guided by Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents, and must prevent and put an end to the idea of quick success and instant benefit in educational concepts and school-running concepts, and shift their focus to improving students' knowledge, skills and social adaptability as soon as possible. Some students regard society as too idealistic, very optimistic and confident, and their own psychology is also very fragile. They think that as long as they work hard, they can realize their pursuits and ideals, often underestimating the difficulties and obstacles they may encounter and will inevitably encounter setbacks. However, after encountering setbacks, due to their psychological fragility, they may become depressed, depressed, and even make many excessive behaviors. In recent years, it is no news that psychological problems and violent incidents caused by the lack of independent social personality have emerged one after another. On the contrary, some students think that society is too complicated, too dangerous and too cruel, so they are very negative and pessimistic. They dare not step into society and become poor people who depend on their parents and society for support and relief.

Independent socialized personality is not only the result of certain social shaping and cultural education, but also the result of individual adapting to the environment, taking the initiative to choose and create. Higher vocational colleges should further strengthen the "two courses" education, use the "two courses" classroom to instill social knowledge into students, guide students to learn to use Marxist principles to pay attention to social phenomena, analyze and solve problems, focus on improving students' humanistic quality, including philosophical awareness and ideological and political awareness, and help students form a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, thus cultivating and shaping students' independent socialized personality.

(2) Strengthen the guidance and management of students' daily study and life.

Some students in higher vocational colleges have never experienced any setbacks, and they are basically raised in greenhouses. Under the examination-oriented education system, students' study and daily life are basically arranged by parents and teachers. Parents arrange students' food, clothing, housing and transportation, so that they are accustomed to the life of opening their mouths and reaching out with their skirts open; The teacher arranges the students' study life, and it is up to the teacher to decide what to learn and how to learn. The students have no opinion at all. Even the college entrance examination volunteers, some students are also done by parents and teachers. Long-term greenhouse cultivation has made them feel strongly dependent on their parents and schools. At the same time, monotonous, boring, mechanical, lack of innovation in study and life, for some students, there is no happiness at all, nor a sense of accomplishment. Some students even think that they are tools for parents and teachers to pursue fame and fortune. College students who have grown up in a long-term closed environment are mostly simple and full of yearning and worry about the mysterious and complicated social life. Once they lose the help, intervention and arrangement of their home school, they will become at a loss in the face of complex and cruel social reality. Even if you can go to school and get a job in the end, the prospects are not optimistic.

(3) Increase the investment and management of student associations and social practice activities.

At present, it is an indisputable fact that the efficiency and level of student associations and social practice activities in higher vocational colleges are low. The emergence of this situation is entirely caused by higher vocational colleges themselves. Some higher vocational colleges do not attach importance to student associations and social practice activities, neither invest in financial support nor actively guide and manage them, leaving them to fend for themselves. Although some higher vocational colleges attach great importance to student associations and social practice activities and actively guide them, due to insufficient funds, student associations and social practice activities are inefficient and low-level.

Student associations and social practice activities are important ways for students in higher vocational colleges to know and adapt to society, and are also important means to improve students' socialization and social adaptability. At present, higher vocational colleges have basically set up enrollment and employment guidance departments, but both the quantity and quality of human and financial investment and the efficiency and level of management and service are not satisfactory. For most higher vocational colleges, enrollment is related to the survival and development of current faculty, and its importance is undoubtedly. However, the employment guidance for students, especially in guiding students to plan their careers scientifically, is still insufficient. Although some higher vocational colleges pay more attention to the guiding ideology, they do not invest enough in manpower, material resources and financial resources. Especially in human resources, the problem is very prominent. The lack of professional full-time employment guidance personnel is a common problem in vocational college students' employment guidance.

In addition, higher vocational colleges should pay attention to timeliness when guiding students to plan their careers scientifically. In view of the low social adaptability and short academic system of higher vocational college students, it is best to start career planning after entering school.

If students in higher vocational colleges lack active guidance and scientific planning, it will bring incalculable and serious consequences to their social adaptation. Some of the above-mentioned "neet people" are too picky about employment, some are afraid of hardship and fatigue, some are addicted to entrepreneurial fantasies, some frequently change jobs, and so on. (5) Cultivate and establish the concept of students' lifelong education.

Compared with undergraduate students, students in higher vocational colleges have no advantages in academic qualifications, knowledge and skills. (6) Actively carry out mental health education for college students.

Due to the diversification of education level, the increasing age difference and the drastic changes in the time and space of university life, the personal development aspirations of modern college students are increasingly complex and changeable. The resulting mental health problems are becoming more and more prominent and urgent in the process of higher education.

It is reported that a student of rural vocational college was forced to finish his studies by his parents and will leave school soon. But his work unit was delayed, and he felt ashamed to face his parents, so he wanted to cut his wrist and commit suicide. Fortunately, he was saved. More and more higher vocational colleges begin to attach importance to college students' mental health education. Due to the late development time, poor foundation and low level, there are three common problems. Second, mental health education activities only stay on the surface, and do not go deep into students' daily study and life. Third, the concept of mental health education lags behind, and the preventive measures are not scientific and efficient enough. They often wait until students have psychological problems before they begin to intervene and remedy.

It is of great and far-reaching practical significance to improve students' social adaptability in higher vocational colleges. Students in higher vocational colleges are a special group with low academic qualifications, generally fragile psychology and poor family environment. Many students come from rural areas and their families have a heavy burden. With the rising fees in colleges and universities. For these families, higher vocational education is a risky investment in education.
