Mould polishing technology

Mold polishing can be divided into manual polishing and mechanical polishing. Manual polishing generally uses oilstone polishing. First, rough oilstone polishing is used to remove the tool marks and lines left by mechanical processing. Then use fine oilstone to polish off the traces of coarse oilstone, and then use metallographic sandpaper to polish off the polished traces of fine oilstone until a bright surface is polished; Mechanical polishing generally uses electric tools and ultrasonic polishing machines. The method is to polish with coarse polishing paste first, then with fine polishing paste, and finally with the finest polishing paste until a bright mirror surface is polished. In short, the polishing process must be coarse first and then fine, and it is not allowed to be polished directly with fine oilstone, so that the final surface will look bright, but if you look closely, you will find that the surface is uneven, and you can see the tool marks and lines processed in front. It is difficult to polish those lines with fine whetstone or polishing paste.
