Where is Lujiaowan Community?

Lujiaowan Village is located 2 kilometers south of Xuejiadao Sub-district Office, on the west bank of Tangdaowan, bordering the Yellow Sea in the south, Liujiadao in the west, with the sea in the north and the sea in the south, and hilly land. It has a history of more than 600 years. Production is semi-fishery and semi-agriculture. There are 662 mu of cultivated land and 260 mu of nursery in the village, with 928 people in 309 households. Xue is the majority, accounting for more than 90%.

At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, a man named Xue Sijia moved from the persimmon garden in Nangoutou, Xuejiadao Village to settle down and built a civil construction village. Because there is a bay in the east of the village that spews all the year round and the water quality is sweet, a sika deer often comes here to drink water, and its antlers somehow fall off in the bay, so it is named Lujiaowan Village.

Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up line established by the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, the villagers here have actively responded to the call of the Party and competed to invigorate the economy. On the basis of stabilizing the household contract responsibility system and relying on the geographical advantages of the village's north and south by the sea, they have vigorously developed the collective economy and the individual economy. Sea fishing and beach culture are the main economic sources. Ponds were built in Tangdao Bay of Beihai to breed shrimps and crabs, and mudflats were developed to protect and nourish granodiscus. Its large output and delicious meat are exported to Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Sea cucumber, abalone and scallop are cultured in the south bay of the village. In addition to breeding minks, cattle, birds and pigeons on land, the two committees of the village have also established industrial parks and invested in factories, including plastic processing plants, movable type printing, aluminum-plastic products factories, Qingdao Youying Fule Co., Ltd., squirrel toy factory and Fuqingfeng handicrafts. The village has also set up factory lease and nursery garden, which has continuously injected economic vitality and made the collective and individual economy improve rapidly. In 2004, the total economic income of the village was 92.98 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 5,844 yuan, which made the village embark on a well-off road.

Abalone breeding base

At the same time of economic construction, Lujiaowan Village actively develops various social welfare undertakings in the village, planning to build spacious cross streets, investing in installing street lamps, greening streets, beautifying the environment, laying water diversion pipes, and letting villagers eat tap water.

Seafood breeding base

In the 1990s, large tile houses with masonry and cement structures spread all over the village. The large tile houses with red tiles and green trees in the east of the village were arranged in an orderly way, and villa buildings appeared, adding a touch of beautiful color to the village. Invested in the construction of the village Committee office and improved the office conditions. Established an activity room for the elderly and a croquet field. At the end of 1990s, the villagers were provided with endowment insurance for agriculture, industry and commerce, and in 2004, the whole village was provided with social endowment insurance and rural cooperative medical care, so as to provide for the old and the young. Nowadays, Lujiaowan Village has complete supporting facilities, cable TV, direct dial telephone, color TV and refrigerator are popular, and villagers are integrated into the construction of Phoenix Island tourist resort with a brand-new attitude, and Lujiaowan Village will usher in a better tomorrow.
