The reason why the interviewer asked so detailed questions, even wanting to know about your parents’ jobs, is simply to find out whether your family resources are of value. For example, if your parents can help you with your work, it means that they have a certain usable value; otherwise, they do not. Don't say that companies are too realistic. Sometimes, society is like this. If you have a background and connections, your starting point will definitely be higher than the average person.
