Golden Dragon stands for "Dragon Duke" and Silver Dragon stands for "Dragon Mother", each of which is more than 50 meters. The folk lion dance in Doumen area first appeared in the middle of Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. By the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the lion dance performance flourished and became an active traditional art among the people. At present, there are 32 lion dance teams with more than 600 members in the whole region.

Doumen lion dance is a southern lion dance that integrates martial arts, dance and music. Many times in the provincial and municipal lion dance competitions have achieved excellent results.
