Hyundai Kia was forced to cut production, making it difficult for Korean suppliers to return to work.
The epidemic has lasted for nearly a month, and many suppliers of Beijing Hyundai have still failed to fully resume work. Due to the isolation of returned employees from other places, some Korean suppliers are still in a state of lack of work. Due to the failure of the main engine factory to fully resume production, the orders of another group of Korean-funded modern suppliers have been greatly reduced. While the automobile supply chains of China and South Korea are increasingly tied together, it is difficult to get rid of each other. At the same time, the Korean epidemic has spread.
There are many restrictions on returning to work, and orders are reduced by nearly 80%
Recently, it was reported that a Hyundai automobile supplier named Jingxin Electronics was unable to produce wires and harnesses due to the delayed start of the epidemic, which led to the suspension of some Korean factories of Hyundai Group for many days. The employment problem still plagues Jingxin Electronics. On February 25th, CRRC dialed the telephone number of Jingxin Electronics Qingdao Jimo office area, and the operator told them to start work on February 23rd.
Jingxin Electronics is a wholly-owned enterprise invested and established by Korean Jingxin Industrial Co., Ltd., which mainly produces automotive wiring harness and automobile combination instrument lamp parts, with factories in Yancheng and Qingdao. ?
Although it has resumed production and is subject to multiple policy restrictions, Jingxin Electronics still faces problems such as insufficient personnel. Qingdao recently issued a policy requiring mainlanders to be quarantined at home 14 days after returning to Qingdao, and full-time staff will deliver daily necessities to those who are quarantined at home.
An insider of Jingxin Electronics Qingdao factory told CRRC reporter. People from outside the province must be quarantined when they return to Qingdao 14 days. Employees in other parts of Shandong Province, especially Jining, find it difficult to get permission from the sub-district office even if they want to go back to Qingdao factory. On the one hand, it is difficult for people to get to work, on the other hand, the government requires that a workshop should not gather too many people and try to disperse when eating. Under various restrictions, they can't all return to work.
Old employees from other places can't take up their posts, and Jingxin Electronics is still in a state of lack of work, so it can only recruit new people locally in Qingdao. For them, it is really helpless to start a new employee. "New employees are not familiar enough, and the details are often not handled well enough. It takes some time to train them. " Insiders of the company expressed their feelings.
Jingxin Electronics is not a case. In the supplier's view, "the difficulties now are overall". At present, the main customer of Jingxin Electronics is Hyundai Factory in Korea, and one of its major anxiety problems is the lack of work. Unlike Jingxin Electronics, Beijing Hyundai suppliers are mainly concerned with income.
Rizhao Luo Yu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is a Korean-funded automobile parts manufacturer, which produces core parts of automobile engines such as linear ignition coils and spark plugs, and supplies them to Beijing Hyundai, Dongfeng Da Yue Kia and other automakers. Talking about the negative impact during the epidemic, the people in the parts factory told CRRC bluntly. Com: "There are so few orders now that no one in the factory has a job."
Not only did Rizhao Luo Yu Electronics' orders drop sharply, but Qingdao Han You auto parts were also disturbed. The latter belongs to South Korea's wholly-owned enterprise and Beijing Hyundai supplier, mainly producing automobile air conditioning accessories and other parts. The company disclosed to CRRC. Compared with before the outbreak, their orders decreased by 70%-80%. In contrast, it is not a big problem for employees not to be on duty in full. "There are not so many jobs now, fewer people come to work, and our cost burden is correspondingly less," said a manager of the company.
Affect the upstream and downstream? The main engine factory has greatly reduced production.
Suppliers have their own guesses about why Beijing Hyundai is decreasing. "Our orders are also much less, but I think Hyundai is now reducing procurement, more because suppliers can't supply. Not only is Beijing Hyundai cutting production, but some OEMs I know now only open production lines for eight hours. In the past, the production line operated for 24 hours, and it was a problem faced by the whole industry that it could not resume full-load production. " An employee of Beijing Hyundai supplier Qingdao Chengyou Metal said.
The above-mentioned Qingdao Han You Auto Parts Manager said that she heard that Beijing Hyundai has a high inventory at present, and she thinks that its purchase volume has been greatly reduced, mainly because it is not optimistic about the follow-up market. If the forecast prospect tends to be pessimistic, the purchasing department will place an order cautiously, because as long as a pair of suppliers place an order, the OEM has the obligation to digest the upstream inventory.
In this regard, an insider of Beijing Hyundai admitted to CRRC that they do have a certain inventory at present, which is higher than that of Japanese OEMs, but the reduction in production is more affected by other factors, which is helpless.
It is reported that Beijing Hyundai currently has five factories in Beijing, Cangzhou and Chongqing. On February 14, Beijing, Chongqing and Cangzhou all issued regulations. /kloc-in February of 0/4, people returning from other places were asked to stay at home 14 days.
According to the above-mentioned insiders of Beijing Hyundai, because the Beijing area has resumed work in early February, most employees of the Beijing factory have passed the quarantine period. However, factories in other regions did not start smoothly. Beijing Hyundai Cangzhou factory resumed work on February 17, and Chongqing factory resumed work on February 2 1 7, which was late and the demand for spare parts was relatively small.
Because some non-local employees of Beijing Hyundai's upstream suppliers and logistics companies are temporarily unable to go to work and have not yet reached the state of returning to work, Beijing Hyundai is still gradually returning to work, not fully returning to work.
"Of course, we hope that the factory can produce at full capacity, but the supplier's delivery is not timely, which makes us cook without rice. The logistics company did not return to work, and even if we produced it, we could not deliver it. " Another employee of Beijing Hyundai said.
Closely connected supply chain? However, the Korean epidemic spread.
The above four Shandong suppliers interviewed by CRRC are all wholly-owned Korean enterprises. Modern suppliers in Beijing are mainly Korean enterprises. In terms of spare parts supply, multinational suppliers such as Mobius, Hankook Tire and Posco Steel are also Korean-funded enterprises.
There are a large number of Korean auto parts factories in Beijing, Cangzhou, Chongqing, Qingdao and Yancheng. Due to the large number of Koreans gathered, the Chongqing government plans to establish a Sino-Korean industrial park in Liangjiang New District where Beijing Hyundai Factory is located, and introduce Korean restaurants and department stores into the factory.
According to relevant data, South Korea's spare parts exports to China last year were US$ 265,438 +0.8 billion, while China's total spare parts exports to South Korea were US$ 65,438+0.56 billion. The trade volume and personnel exchange data between China and South Korea have been increasing in the past few years, with 2 million Koreans living in China and 65,438+10,000 Koreans living in Qingdao alone.
In recent days, the Korean epidemic has spread. As of February 27th, 65,438+0,595 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 virus, with more than 65,438+0,500 new cases in the past three days.
In response to the Korean epidemic, cities in Chinese mainland have expressed their solidarity. On February 25th, Yancheng announced in both Chinese and Korean languages that Korean-funded enterprises, represented by Hyundai Kia, have invested in Yancheng, which has made positive contributions to the economic and social development of our city. Koreans who work and live in Yancheng are "new citizens" of Yancheng. In the prevention and control of epidemic situation, we should treat people who come to Salt for short-term business trips, tourism and other reasons equally, and all of them will be arranged to stay in hotels designated by the government for centralized observation; Those who are diagnosed as infected cases will be treated equally with Yancheng citizens.
