Effect of electroslag remelting steel on chemical composition content

Nitrogen content, phosphorus content.

1, nitrogen content: For the influence of nitrogen content in electroslag remelting steel, the atmospheric composition in the mold channel has no decisive influence on its content in remelting steel. After remelting in neutral furnace (furnace 1) and reducing atmosphere furnace (furnace 4), the nitrogen concentration in steel is almost unchanged, but in some cases it is lower than before.

2. Phosphorus content: The phosphorus content in electroslag steel will either remain unchanged or increase. In the process of electroslag remelting, the content of P in the oxidation atmosphere furnace tends to increase, which may be related to the "thermal specification" of remelting, that is, P is transferred from slag to steel. At the same time, when the slag reaches high oxidation, the regular decrease of slag temperature and the dispersion of exothermic zone promote the decrease of P content in finished steel.
