Can the school hospital use the medical insurance card?

The infirmary can't use the school medical insurance.

Medical insurance in schools is mostly commercial insurance of insurance companies. Commercial insurance has regulations on the level of hospitals. Some insurances cannot be reimbursed in township hospitals, and can only be reimbursed if they are hospitalized in county and municipal hospitals. The infirmary is only used to simply deal with minor illnesses of students, so student insurance cannot be used.

The medical insurance card has two main purposes:

1. Hospitalization medical reimbursement: After hospitalization, the insured can directly use medical insurance to reimburse eligible medical expenses and drug expenses when leaving the hospital, thus reducing the personal medical burden;

2. Outpatient/pharmacy credit card payment: Daily outpatient and pharmacy purchases can be paid directly with the funds in the medical insurance card account.

To sum up, the school medical office belongs to the first-class medical institution designated by medical insurance and can use the medical insurance card. The payment method can be Alipay or WeChat, and the diagnosis and treatment methods include Chinese and western medicines, Chinese medicine granules, acupuncture and electrocardiogram examination. When seeking medical treatment on campus, you must carry the medical insurance card of college students, and all expenses arising from medical treatment shall be paid by college students themselves. After the medical treatment, bring valid documents such as college students' medical insurance, outpatient medical records, medical expense bills and inspection reports to the medical insurance office of the infirmary for reimbursement.
