Jishui County has been 1300 years since it was founded in Sui Dynasty. It is one of the top ten cultural ancient counties in Jiangxi Province and one of the cradles of Luling culture. The style of writing has been prosperous and talented people have come forth in large numbers. Since ancient times, it has been known as "the birthplace of culture" and "the hometown of top scholars". There used to be "three scholars in one door, two prime ministers crossing the river, three champions in five miles, and ten miles." As early as the Neolithic Age more than 5,000 years ago, ancestors lived in Jishui County. Summer belongs to Yangzhou, located in the west of Yangzhou.
