There are four railway stations in Chongqing.

They are: Chongqing Railway Station (Caiyuanba Railway Station), North Railway Station (Longtousi Railway Station), South Railway Station and West Railway Station, but South Railway Station and West Railway Station belong to cross stations, and trains generally do not stop.

Chongqing Railway Station is the general name of railway hub stations serving Chongqing, a municipality directly under the Central Government of China, including the main urban area of Chongqing. Chongqing Railway Station (Caiyuanba), Chongqing North Railway Station (Longtou Temple), Chongqing West Railway Station (Shangqiao), Chongqing East Railway Station (Tea Garden), Shapingba Railway Station, Beibei Railway Station, Fusheng Railway Station and all districts (counties and autonomous counties) outside the main city.

On the basis of the existing Xinglongchang marshalling station, Chongqing will add a station in Donggang District of the East Ring Road of the hub to form a main and auxiliary decoding system; New hinges such as Moore, Longsheng, Donggang and Nanpeng in the east ring and hubs such as Degan, Shuang Fu and Dalu in the west ring will be added to form a "2+4+9" national-regional-regional three-level logistics center network freight system.
