Ai Qing’s main works

Ai Qing, born in Zhejiang, is a famous modern poet and writer in my country. He has many works, and some of them have been included in the textbooks of primary and secondary schools. Many of his poems contain words such as sun and torch, which show the poet's hatred of the old society and his longing for light and progress. In addition, his poems also describe a lot of love for the working people and the land, which are simple but full of power.

The most famous of his works is definitely "Dayan River - My Nanny". In addition, there are many poems, including "Returning Song", "North", "Anti-Fascist" ", "I Love This Land", "Toward the Sun" and so on. In 1933, he released his first collection of poems, the aforementioned Dayan River. In 1941, after he arrived in Yan'an, he deeply felt the intensity of the Anti-Japanese War and wrote a large number of poems. He published 9 poetry collections that year. And deeply longing for the arrival of light and hope.

After arriving in New China, because he was classified as a rightist, the creation was suspended for more than 20 years. After 1979, he started a second creation, including "Returning Song" and "Snow Lotus". . In 1985, Ai Qing received the highest medal of literature and art awarded by France, which was also a great recognition of his poetry internationally. In his later years, in the 1990s, Ai Qing basically had no new poetry creations. This was mainly due to his advanced age and his body no longer allowed excessive exertion. Ai Qing finally passed away from us due to illness in 1996.
