Geographical location of Changling township

Changling New District is located in the north of Chadian Town, Changling Township, Yunxian County, Hubei Province, across the river from the county seat. The planning scope starts from Hanjiang River in the north, reaches Caijiagou in the south, reaches Tutian Highway in the east and Shending River in the west, involving several natural villagers' groups in Changping Village, Caijialing Village, Changlinggou Village and Erdaopo Village, with a total area of 1 8.68km2. The development goal of Changling New District is one of the three functional areas in the urban pattern of "one river, two bridges and three towns" in Yunxian County, and it is an independent new city with close ties and complementary functions with Chengguan and Sanmen. Industry is mainly building materials and chemical industry. Machinery and auto parts industries, supplemented by logistics.

There are few industrial enterprises in the planning area, mainly building materials and machinery manufacturing. The secondary industry in this region has become the main force to promote the regional national economic growth, but the scale is small, the added value and technical content of products are low, and the scale of enterprises is generally small.

With the increase of population and the continuous development of economy in Changling New District of Yunxian County, the amount of industrial wastewater and domestic sewage discharged from urban areas is increasing. The main reason for the water environment quality problem is that Shending River, as the main sewage receiving river in Shiyan City, receives a lot of domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. This poses a threat to the life and production water safety of coastal residents, and also restricts the sustainable development of local economy. If the planning of Lianyun Changling New District is improper and the discharge of water pollutants exceeds the environmental carrying capacity, it will aggravate the water pollution in Lianyun Changling New District and directly and indirectly affect the water ecological environment and wetland ecology.
