The Department of Textile and Clothing has two general undergraduate majors: textile engineering, clothing design and engineering, one corresponding undergraduate major: mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, and two majors: electromechanical engineering and electrical automation. Among them, textile engineering and clothing engineering are the most distinctive disciplines in our college, and its school-running history can be traced back to the textile department, clothing department and electromechanical department of Shanxi Textile Industry School to Shanxi Normal University of Light Industry. After several generations and decades of construction, it has now developed into one of the main disciplines of the Academy of Textile Fine Arts. In the years of teaching and research, we have paid attention to the intersection and infiltration of multiple disciplines, and formed a teaching and research base for textile materials, textile design and clothing design.

The Department of Textile and Apparel has five teaching and research sections: textile materials, textile design, garment engineering, textile electromechanical and automation. There are more than 40 full-time and part-time teachers, including professors 1 person and 25 associate professors. It has a teaching team with strong teaching and scientific research strength, and has the material conditions for textile and garment technology research, new product development and training high-level talents in textile and garment. In order to highlight the characteristics of running a school and meet the market demand, each discipline has multiple professional directions, such as textile design, textile electromechanical, textile trade and so on. Talents at all levels trained over the years enjoy a high social reputation and have made positive contributions to Shanxi textile industry and related industries. There are 393 undergraduates and 678 junior college students.

In order to improve the level of teaching and scientific research, the College has hired Professor Yao Mu, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and doctoral supervisor, as honorary professor all the year round, and signed a school-running agreement with tianjin polytechnic university, and hired Professor Huang Gu and Professor Li as part-time professors, which has provided strong support and help for the teaching, scientific research, regular or irregular textile engineering and clothing design and the construction of engineering teachers and laboratories in the College, and accelerated the discipline construction and the construction of teachers in the Department of Textile and Clothing.

In 2005, the college successfully applied for two master's degrees in textile materials and textile design, and will enroll students in 2007. The main research directions are: modification of natural fibers and realization of end products; Research and development of new synthetic fibers and realization of end products; Study on functional finishing of textiles. Teachers of textile and clothing department constantly strengthen scientific research and innovation. In the past three years, they have published many papers and two monographs in domestic professional journals and various professional conferences. Now they have undertaken two key scientific and technological projects in Shanxi Province and obtained a national patent. The Ministry of Commerce, formerly known as the Information Management Department, was established in 2005 through professional integration. There are two undergraduate majors in accounting and e-commerce, and five majors in accounting computerization, e-commerce, tourism management, cultural relics restoration and appraisal, and applied English. At present, there are 382 undergraduates and junior college students 1440. The Ministry of Commerce has three teaching and research sections (financial accounting, e-commerce and management) and three majors.

The business school has a dynamic and enterprising faculty, with 30 faculty members, including professors 1 person, 5 associate professors, doctors 1 person, 8 master's degree teachers and 3 master's degree students. Double division or multi-division 9 people. All teachers published more than 100 papers, compiled more than 10 textbooks, and undertook 65438 provincial-level projects.

In terms of personnel training, students' skill operation and professional characteristics are highlighted, and a multi-certificate school-running model is implemented, such as accounting, e-commerce teachers and tour guide certificates.
