Report on campus football teachers studying abroad

I come from Wansongyuan Road Primary School in Jianghan District, Wuhan City. I have worked in grassroots schools for nearly 26 years. I have served as a primary school football coach, a professional team football coach, and a professional team and national team coach. , obtained the AFC coach and lecturer qualification in 2008, and obtained the AFC professional coach teaching qualification certificate in 2011. In 2009, he became a member of the Technical Committee of the Chinese Football Association and a member of the National Youth Campus Football Expert Committee. In 2017, he was awarded the Hubei Provincial Education The department recommends participating in study abroad programs. I have a profound experience and understanding of the series of achievements China has made since campus football, especially the move to send teachers to study abroad.

Below I will share and report from three aspects: changes, gains, and thoughts.

1. Several changes in the campus football study abroad program in 2017

(1) Selection at all levels and admission on the basis of merit.

In 2017, the selection of youth campus football teachers across the country to study abroad adopted a combination of recommendations from provincial (autonomous regions and municipalities) education administrative departments and selection by national school football offices. Each local education administrative department is responsible for recommending the list of overseas students, and the National School Football Office organizes domestic and foreign football experts to conduct centralized testing and selection. The selection process is first divided into classes based on test scores, and then the best candidates are admitted through practical and theoretical tests. There are 179 students studying abroad in the UK where I am, who are elite students selected from nearly a thousand recommended teachers across the country. It is precisely because of the selection of teachers studying abroad that the quality of courses during study abroad is better guaranteed.

(2) Innovate measures and plan ahead.

Since the development of campus football, the lack of football teachers has seriously restricted the development of campus football. In 2017, the National School Football Office proposed for the first time to increase the number of coaches and lecturers studying abroad. This innovative initiative means that lecturers who have returned from studying abroad can contribute to the training of campus football teachers in various places, like a spark that starts a prairie fire everywhere.

(3) Training content, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude.

During the selection period, Director Wang Dengfeng, together with Chinese football experts, conducted discussions with the Football Association and the French University Sports Federation on the relevant courses during the study abroad period and reached a consensus, which enabled us to study in the UK for three months. The content learned is highly targeted and focuses on teaching, training and competition.

(4) Strict discipline and leading technology.

For the first time in 2017, the study abroad program has a technical expert selected by the National School Football Office as the general coordinator of the study abroad program. He is specifically responsible for collecting and organizing information related to study abroad, providing help for students' lives, and supervising the students' class performance. Under the leadership of the general coordinator, no student in each school district was late for class or left early. They truly achieved strict discipline and advanced technology. After three months of studying abroad, not only did all students obtain the coach level certificate issued by the Football Association, but we have also compiled all the theoretical and practical courses for Level 1-3 of the Football Association to lay a solid foundation for training after returning to China. .

2. Studying abroad has been fruitful

(1) It has further strengthened my understanding of "Chinese campus football is the foundation for the formation of Chinese football philosophy."

What I experienced the most while studying abroad was the foreign football culture, which is the foundation of the football philosophy of developed football countries. As a lecturer who has participated in the teaching tasks of the AFC for nearly ten years, studying in England this time has been a great harvest for me, and I have gained a deeper understanding and understanding of football philosophy. Philosophy is like the clothes you wear on your body, only you know its comfort. Regarding the development of campus football in my country at this stage, there is no identical path that can be copied and used as a reference across the world. We must not underestimate ourselves. There are community footballs abroad, and we have campus footballs. So far, our campus football specialty schools have reached 20,000. This development speed and scale have attracted the attention of the world. We are accumulating football culture through campus football and cultivating people with moral integrity through campus football.

(2) Master the rules and learn to think.

Before studying abroad, I was exposed to the football concepts of Germany, Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and other countries. However, the biggest realization I gained from studying abroad this time is that our understanding of the basic laws of football is extremely lacking. Because of this, we are vacillating when faced with football concepts and views from different countries and schools. As a result, we will learn from whichever one wins the World Cup. Therefore, we have been unable to form a training system suitable for football teaching in our country. . This study abroad program is of milestone significance for the establishment of my country’s campus football training system.

(3) Return from school with outstanding achievements.

After studying abroad and returning to China, especially the students in the lecture class have repeatedly led the campus football team to win gold and silver in competitions at different levels. Especially in the college student league held in Hunan, the top three head coaches of the school team were all students who studied in the lecture class in Manchester, England in 2017. I myself have also used what I learned while studying in the UK to conduct training for various primary and secondary school coaches at all levels across the country many times, and have received unanimous praise. Everyone agreed that the experience of studying abroad played a huge role.

3. Thoughts on studying overseas in campus football

(1) Prescribe the right medicine to make up for the shortcomings. At present, the biggest shortcoming in the development of campus football in our country is the lack of coaches. As the largest publicly-sponsored study abroad program for school sports since the founding of the People's Republic of my country, the study abroad program for campus football teachers has a major role in expanding the team of campus football teachers in my country. If it persists for several years, it will definitely produce results.

(2) Recognize the current situation clearly and work hard for a long time. The campus football overseas study project is to create a teaching and training model suitable for the development of campus football in my country by borrowing successful paths from abroad. This process requires continuous research, experiments and repeated demonstrations to finally form a system, and all sectors of society should provide sufficient support and tolerance.

(3) Campus football has entered a new historical period. The development of things is never smooth. We must fully understand the arduousness and complexity of campus football work, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, have the courage to take responsibility, innovate and work hard, and be both practitioners and propagandists, and serve as The healthy and steady development of campus football creates a good atmosphere.
