It is through complementary functions that the cities in Ruhr, Germany, strengthen the feedback of science and technology cities to energy cities, so that the region has maintained the vitality of development for a long time. Therefore, strengthening the long-term cooperation between Hefei and Huainan is of great significance to maintain the long-term prosperity and stability of Huainan. Hefei is the first growth level to promote the rise of Anhui, and Huainan's energy will also provide support for Hefei's first development.

Hefei New 4E International Airport will be built in Liugao Town, northwest of Hefei, shortening the distance from Huainan to the airport to 60 ~ 70km. The Jianghuai Canal under planning and research directly connects the Huaihe River shipping and the Yangtze River shipping, and becomes an important channel for the southern transportation of Huai coal.
