How to read Lixian County?

Lixian County, which belongs to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the central plain of Hebei Province, the southeast of Baoding City, the hinterland of Beijing-Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Triangle, and the junction of Baoding, Cangzhou and Hengshui.

The county borders Gaoyang County in the northeast, Suning County in the southeast, Raoyang County and Anping County in the south, Boye County in the southwest and Qingyuan District in the northwest.

Lixian County is located in the middle of North China Plain in the western structural belt of Jizhong Depression in Bohai Bay Basin. Its topography and landforms are all plains formed by Quaternary floods and alluvial deposits. The overall terrain is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, with an average elevation of 15.6 meters. Lixian county belongs to the warm temperate semi-arid region in the eastern monsoon region, with obvious continental monsoon climate characteristics and distinct four seasons.
