Introduction to Guangzhou Trams

The construction of Guangzhou’s tram began in 1912, but was suspended due to various reasons. In 1960, the trolleybus network was completed and opened to traffic, operated by the Guangzhou Tramway Company. To this day, Guangzhou is still the only city in Guangdong Province with a trolleybus system. There are currently 15 existing lines: 101~114, 78 at night.
