What should be paid attention to in excavator maintenance?

(1) excavator maintenance level and items

The maintenance level of excavators includes four levels: maintenance per shift (daily), primary maintenance (every 100 hours), secondary maintenance (every 400 hours) and tertiary maintenance (every 1200 hours). In addition, there are special maintenance, such as running-in maintenance, seasonal maintenance and long-term non-use maintenance. See table 2- 1 for the maintenance level and maintenance items of excavators.

(2) Maintenance of oil filter

① The oil filter is a very important component, which can prevent impurities from entering the important device in the oil and gas pipeline, thus reducing the occurrence of faults. The oil filter should be replaced regularly as needed. When using excavators in harsh conditions, the replacement cycle should be shortened according to the quality (sulfur content) of diesel oil used.

② Never clean the oil filter (cylindrical) and use it again. The oil filter should be replaced with a new one.

③ When replacing the old oil filter, check whether there are metal particles and rubber crumbs adsorbed on the old filter element. If metal or rubber particles are found, please ask professionals for further inspection and treatment.

④ Do not open the box prematurely before using the oil filter.

(3) Maintenance of electrical equipment

(1) the wire is damp or the insulation layer is damaged, and the electrical system will leak electricity, which may lead to machine misoperation or other accidents.

② Check the tension, damage and wear of the fan belt, and check the electrolyte level of the battery.

③ Do not disassemble or disassemble any electrical components installed on the machine.

(4) Do not install unqualified and shoddy electrical components.

⑤ Do not touch the electrical system with water when cleaning the machine or working in rainy days.

⑥ When working at the beach, the electrical system should be carefully cleaned to prevent corrosion.

⑦ When installing air cooler or other electrical equipment, connect it to an independent power connector. The selected power supply must not be connected to a fuse, start switch or battery relay.

(4) Maintenance of hydraulic system

During and just after the operation, the temperature of hydraulic oil is still very high. Therefore, special care should be taken when checking and maintaining the hydraulic system.

① Place the machine on a level ground, lower the bucket to the ground, and then release the hydraulic pipeline pressure.

(2) turn off the engine and wait until the oil temperature drops before maintenance. Even if the oil temperature drops, there is still pressure inside the system. When checking and maintaining the hydraulic circuit, the air in the hydraulic oil tank should be exhausted to release the pressure inside the system.

③ Check the oil level of hydraulic oil regularly, replace the oil filter and fill the hydraulic oil.

④ After removing the high-pressure hose, check whether the O-ring or washer is damaged. If it is damaged, it should be replaced.

⑤ Clean or replace the filter element and filter screen of the hydraulic oil filter, or remove the hydraulic pipeline, and exhaust the air in the oil circuit.

⑥ There is high-pressure nitrogen in the accumulator, which is quite dangerous if used improperly, and must be used in strict accordance with regulations.
