The predecessor and origin of Longcheng Middle School

The predecessor of Lufeng Longcheng Middle School is Lufeng Sixth Middle School, which was founded in 1983. Lufeng Sixth Central Plains School Building was rebuilt from the barracks built by railway soldiers in the 1960s. The layout facilities are unreasonable and outdated, and it has been identified as a D-class dangerous building. In addition, its location is just below the coking plant of Degang, and the pollution of the whole campus is extremely serious. Under the overall coordination of the county party Committee and the government, on the one hand, in order to solve the practical difficulties faced by the school, on the other hand, in order to integrate educational resources, realize resource sharing and complement each other's advantages, on August 15, 2004, the former Lufeng No.6 Middle School and Lu Fengxian Vocational High School were temporarily merged to implement a school-running form with one team and two teaching modes.

In the process of school merger, with the gradual improvement of school conditions and the improvement of teaching quality, the number of students in Lufeng No.6 Middle School is increasing. At the same time, with the country attaching great importance to vocational education, the enrollment scale of vocational high schools has been expanding, and the combination of two different education models can no longer adapt to the development of schools. Therefore, the county government decided to build a new junior middle school to improve the conditions for running a school, relieve the pressure of running a school and meet the desire of urban students to receive quality education. The new school started to break ground on March 6, 2007, which lasted for 5 months and 20 days. On August 26, 2007, he left Lufeng Vocational High School and moved to a newly-built school, officially renamed Lufeng Longcheng Middle School.
