Has Shantou Light Rail been reopened?

Shantou light rail has not been reopened.

According to the newspaper, Shantou is carrying out large-scale rail transit construction. These include the East Guangdong Intercity Railway and Shantou Railway, both of which are actively promoting the construction process. The inter-city railway in eastern Guangdong has entered the construction stage in an all-round way, and the first section of Shantou section of Shantou-Shantou Railway is expected to be completed by the end of March 2024. However, these reports did not mention the reopening of Shantou light rail. Therefore, it can be inferred that Shantou Light Rail has not been reopened.
