According to the website of Tianshui Municipal People's Government, Tianshui is located in the southeast of Gansu Province, China, at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Sichuan provinces, with a unique and important geographical position. Tianshui is adjacent to Shaanxi Province in the east, Longnan City in the south, Dingxi City in the west and Pingliang City in the north, which has formed close geographical ties with the surrounding areas.
