Jaguar Land Rover is a company, all of which belong to Jaguar Land Rover Automobile Co., Ltd. (Jaguar Land Rover Automobile Co., Ltd. is a multinational company headquartered in Coventry, England, and currently belongs to Tata Group of India).

Jaguar and Land Rover were originally two independent British automobile brands, but later they were acquired by Ford and BMW for various reasons, and Land Rover was later acquired by Ford. It was at Ford that Jaguar and Land Rover came together and eventually became the same business unit.

Jaguar was born in whitley, England. It was founded by Sir william lyons and is called Jaguar Teacher. Land Rover was born in Gaeton, England, and was founded by maurice wilkes (then an engineer at Rover Motor Company in England).

1989, Ford Motor Company of the United States acquired Jaguar Jaguar of the United Kingdom; 1994, BMW of Germany acquired Land Rover of Britain; In 2000, Ford acquired the Land Rover brand from BMW, and in 2002, Ford merged Jaguar and Land Rover into one business unit.

In 2008, India's Tata Motors acquired Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford, and in the same year, Jaguar Land Rover was formally established.
