Qufu Fu Sheng Building Property

Confucius left the word "holy house" to future generations, which should be passed down from generation to generation. The reason why it was not abolished by Confucius' descendants is because of his nostalgia and respect for Confucius.

The mansion has 463 halls and a back garden, covering an area of 240 mu. The gate is a five-ao hanging mountain building inscribed with "Fu Sheng" in Yan Song in Ming Dynasty. His granddaughter married Kong Shangxian, the grandson of Confucius of the sixty-fourth generation, and became the first lady. Li Dongyang (Ming Dynasty) and Ji Xiaolan (Qing Dynasty) wrote the couplet "Happiness with the country, Glory with the government and Heaven with the old moral sage". It goes without saying that the keynote of this couplet is "precious without a top" and "the article goes straight to the sky"

It was built in the 16th year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1503), and there is a plaque of "Excellent Shigemitsu" on the lintel, so it is called "Shigemitsu Gate". It is not connected with the surrounding walls, and it is an independent courtyard, similar to a hall door. The Chongguang Gate is also called "semen" because it separates the front yard and the back yard into an independent courtyard.

The Chongguang Gate is usually closed, but it can only be opened when there are ceremonies (such as weddings or funerals) in Confucius' house, the emperor is auspicious, the imperial edict is read out, and a major ceremony is held to pay homage to Confucius. This gate is the highest regulation of all buildings in Confucius. The lobby, formerly known as the temple, is the place where the Duke of Feast reads the imperial edict, meets officials, hears major cases and holds festivals and birthday ceremonies. It shows the crime detection forms and rituals used by Zheng Yiping. The duke of feasts in past dynasties held this card in Beijing and traveled unimpeded.

Behind the lobby of Confucius House, this is also the dividing line: in front of the official residence and behind the inner house. The Qing emperor also gave three pairs of weapons, namely, a tiger's tail stick, a swallow's wing stick and a golden jade stick. The gatekeeper stands in front of the door with a weapon. If he disobeys the order, he will be killed by this weapon.

In order to keep in touch with the outside world, there are two kinds of news on the inner door, one is called messenger and the other is called messenger. There are more than a dozen people on duty in the wing next to the door, sending messages to the outside at any time.

Confucius House, the Duke's House of Feast, is the residence of the descendants of Confucius, the greatest sage in China. In order to take good care of the relics of Confucius in the Confucius Temple, the descendants of Confucius have lived here for generations and are known as "the best in the world".
