Outside the Wulin Watergate is the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. Whenever the canal rises, the river flows south, so there are some place names along the way, such as "Under Wulin Bridge" and "Under liger Bridge". The nearby Baijingfang used to be a place where Manchu descendants lived together. At that time, there were many rice shops and fishing lines outside Wulinmen.

Outside Wulin Gate, it is also called "Silver Lake Villa". With the train, Micang moved to the railway, and the "fish and bear outside Wulin Gate" became a unique landscape. Every midnight, fishing boats in Tangxi and Deqing water towns come to the fish selling bridge early to unload and weigh. On Dadou Road, there are many fish rafts with bright lights, and you can hear shouting and accounting across the river.
