I think there should be the following reasons:
1. Gansu was located in the northwest border of China in ancient times, so poets at that time wrote countless poems. For example, the description of Liangzhou (now Wuwei City) is "Drunk in the battlefield, you don't laugh, and several people have argued since ancient times." The description of Ganzhou (now Zhangye City) is "unwilling to see the snow in Qilian Mountain, mistaking Ganzhou for Jiangnan". There is a description of Yumen, "Why should Qiangdi complain about Liu, but the spring breeze is only Yumen Pass?" The description of Yangguan (now southwest of Dunhuang City) is "to persuade you to drink more and go out of Yangguan for no reason". Even Lanzhou, which was not prosperous at that time, was once described by Cen Can as: "The rhyme of ancient times depends on heavy risks, and high-rise buildings are even five cool. The mountain roots roll up the post road, and the river infiltrates the city wall. Parrots nest in garden trees, and the flowers in the garden hide musk. Suddenly, like a river, I remember fishing yesterday. " These beautiful poems are often encountered in primary school Chinese, so they have left us a unique historical charm of Gansu. '
Gansu is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation, and there are many mysterious fairy tales circulating. Qingyang City is the great-grandson of the ancestors of Zhou Dynasty, the great-grandson of the sage Tao of Zhou Lao Wang, and the eldest son of the sage Gong Liu on Wednesday was named Qingjie, so the palace built here is called Qingyang Palace. Linxia recorded in "Gong Yu" that "guiding the river to accumulate stones and leaving the dragon gate to enter the sea", which is called "Dayu guiding the river state". Legend has it that Fuxi, Nu Wa and Huangdi were all born in Qin 'an, Tianshui, and Qi Bo was born in Qingyang. At that time, Dayu divided the world into Kyushu in Lanzhou Kyushu Station. These myths have brought mysterious historical charm to Gansu.
3. Gansu ancient place names are relatively complete. No matter how many years of historical erosion, most places in Gansu still use ancient place names. Even if some place names are changed, they are also changed according to historical ancient books, so they retain a strong historical charm.
The historical charm of Gansu is beyond the description of these simple words. As time goes on, history will become more interesting after aging.
Gansu is like a jade inlaid in the northwest of the motherland, like a flying ribbon! Most of the place names in Gansu were formed in Qin, Han, Tang and Song Dynasties, which was the pillar of the Central Plains Dynasty to revitalize the territory, manage the western regions and deter Qiang and Tibet! Therefore, Gansu place names are promising!
Gansu domineering place name spectrum: like a jade handle!
1, Yumen City: Named after the jade introduced from the Western Regions.
2. Dunhuang City: It means "Dun, Great Cause". Gorgeous and prosperous. "
3. Jinchang: China "Nickel Capital", founded in 198 1, named after Jinchuan and Yongchang County!
4. Baiyin City: China's "Silver Capital", named after the establishment of the "Silver Factory" in the Ming Dynasty.
5. Tianshui City: It is named after the legend of "Tianhe Water Injection".
6. Wuwei City: In order to reward Huo Qubing for his meritorious pursuit of the Huns, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty awarded him the title of "Military Merit" and called the place where he was awarded the title "Military Merit".
7. Zhangye City: Ding Yuan, the Emperor of the Han Dynasty, established Zhangye County six years ago (12 1 year ago), which means "Zhang Guo embraces the western regions"!
8. Jiuquan City: It is named after "there are springs under the city" and "its water is like wine".
9. Qingyang City: Qingzhou City is located in the upper reaches of Ma Lian, north of the confluence of Rouyuan River (also known as Donghe River), and the ancients took Shuibei as the sun, hence the name "Qingyang".
10, Wudu: Wuzhou was once established, hence the name Wudu Mountain.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty recovered Hexi, and there were five cities in Hexi: Jiuquan, Zhangye, Wuwei, Dunhuang and Jinchang. It has remained basically unchanged since 2000. Lanzhou, formerly known as Jincheng, is also very nice. It can also be renamed Lanzhou (meaning oasis beside Gaolan Mountain). Other place names are related to war or mountains and rivers.
Tianshui, the water of heaven moistens one side, a good place name, a good place!
The place names in Gansu are meaningful because Gansu Province is a relatively young province relative to the mainland, and its names are not influenced by history, such as Wuwei, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Dunhuang and Dingxi. These place names are all from the Han Dynasty, and the place east of Guanzhong is deeply influenced by history, which is often related to geographical history. For example, Luoyang, Xianyang, Handan and Zibo were all place names before the Warring States Period.
That was intentional. Great men conquered the western regions, paid equal attention to kindness and prestige, and exported values at the same time. Every time he occupies a place, he first chooses a good name and influences them with the charm of Chinese characters.
Because Gansu is the birthplace of Chinese civilization.
The place names of every place in China are fascinating.
Gansu colleagues around me, if someone asks where their hometown is? Answer: Few people in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region directly say that I am from Gansu, and I don't understand!
