There are five administrative villages in Yuelu Street: Zuojialong, Taohualing, Wuxing, Huanghe and Jinjiang, such as Pipatang, Science Village, Yunluyuan, Jinqiao, Lushan South Road, Taohuaping, Sunshine and Lufeng.

Yuelu Street belongs to Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, and is named after Yuelu Mountain, the last of the 72 peaks of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. Xiangjiang River in the east, Yuelu Mountain in the west, Yanghuyuan Ecological Park in the south, Yanghu Street in the north, Yuelu Academy in the north and Orange Island Street in the north. Lushan South Road and Jinjiang Road run through the east and west, and the Second Ring Road and Xiaoxiang Avenue connect the north and the south.

Yuelu Street has a total area of 23.3 1 km2 and a total population of 8 1367 (20 10). It has jurisdiction over five administrative villages including Zuojialong, Taohualing, Wuxing, Huanghe and Jinjiang, and eight community neighborhood committees including Pipatang, Science Village, Yunluyuan, Jinqiao, Lushan South Road, Taohuaping, Sunshine and Lufeng.

Organizational system evolution

Yuelu Street was formerly Yuelu Mountain Township, a suburb of Changsha. 1956 belongs to Yuenan Township and Peyo Township, 1958 is changed to Yuelushan Commune, 1970 belongs to the West District of Changsha City, 1973 belongs to the suburbs, and 1984 belongs to Yuelushan Township.

1996 the administrative divisions of the whole city were adjusted, and Yuelu Mountain Township was included in Yuelu District. 1998, converted into Yuelu Street.
