From 196 1 April, oil workers drilled the first industrial oil flow well in Dongying, and Shengli Oilfield entered a large-scale development, and now it has grown into the second largest oilfield in China after Daqing Oilfield. Up to now, Shengli Oilfield has produced nearly 654.38+0.26 billion tons of crude oil and paid nearly 900 billion yuan in profits and taxes.

Since 20 17, the annual output of Shengli Oilfield has basically stabilized at around 23 million tons. Shengli Oilfield and its related supporting industries have created considerable benefits for Dongying, and also provided a stable and huge number of jobs for Dongying people.

From 196 1 April, Dongying Village, Guangrao County, Huimin District, Shandong Province, 1983, Dongying became a prefecture-level city, and its license plate number was upgraded to Lu E, which gradually improved its status and importance in Shandong Province.

These are the benefits brought by oil resources to Dongying, which has developed from a small rural area to a prefecture-level city in just 20 years.

Only resource-based cities and industrial transformation can ensure the follow-up development of Shengli Oilfield and promote the development of Dongying.
