Brief introduction of Tianmu Mountain National Forest Park in Xinyang

Tianmushan National Forest Park in Henan Province is mainly built by Tianmushan Forest Farm in Pingqiao District, which was established in 1958. It has a afforestation history of more than half a century. Through the efforts of several generations of foresters, the whole park has formed a complex forest ecosystem with beautiful scenery, lush trees and bamboo cultivation.

The park is located in the west of Dabie Mountains, winding at the eastern end of Qinling Mountains, the remaining vein of Tongbai Mountain and the source of Huaihe River, with a total area of 4,858.9 hectares. It consists of two mountains, two rivers and two lakes, namely Tianmu Mountain and Dazhai Mountain, Liuhe and Heming, Jianshan Reservoir and Tianmu Lake.

The approved construction of Tianmu Mountain National Forest Park is a major breakthrough in the eco-tourism project in Pingqiao District. It has built a new platform for scientifically protecting the excellent forest landscape resources of Tianmu Mountain, excavating the cultural landscapes such as the ancient village of Zhou Dynasty, Jinding Temple, Heilongtan, Bailongtan, Linglonggou and Dishuiyan in the park, and expanding the external influence of Pingqiao District. At the same time, it has also added an important tourist attraction for southern Henan.
