Work, not afraid of big, not afraid of simplicity, there are always some small details that are easy to ignore in actual design work. For engineering design specifications, it is often modified and used with reference to the existing design specifications in the past, especially for newcomers who have just engaged in design work, the understanding of design specifications has become just copying and modifying. This will lead to ignoring some small details in the actual design work. The following only summarizes the actual design experience according to the current national standards of the industry, and combines with the water supply and drainage design description of a hotel project to summarize and discuss some easily overlooked details in the design description of water supply and drainage construction drawings.
1 project overview
This project is located in Anyi County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, with a building area of ***36052m2 and a building volume of >. 50000m3, with 23 main floors and a building height of 95.05m;; The building category is a high-rise public building; The first to fifth floors are banquet halls, conference rooms, chess rooms and offices, and the fifth to twenty-third floors are guest rooms; The basement level is a second-class garage, 1 19 motor vehicle, equipment room and staff dining room. The structural forms are all frame-shear structures. Two problems that are easy to be ignored in the general situation of the project: ① Building height: when the indoor and outdoor ground height difference is included, refer to Appendix A of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings; ② Building volume: In the current fire protection code, building volume has become an important reference data and an important basis for fire protection design water volume.
2 design basis
This paper briefly lists the codes and regulations related to this project, the contents related to this specialty in the preliminary examination and approval of government departments, and the design data provided by the construction unit and various specialties. The following problems are easy to occur in practical engineering: ① Lack of understanding of the implementation of new specifications and new atlas leads to the delay of design basis. In the design, the most common situation is that when applying some instructions, some basic updates such as specifications and atlas are ignored. In the process of building development, such as the change of building types and the diversification of building functions, relevant codes are constantly being improved and updated to meet the new market requirements. Design work needs not only the accumulation of experience, but also the continuous learning of new things and new knowledge, so it is also necessary to pay more attention to new specifications, or the revision of old specifications and new atlas. For example, it will be implemented in August 20 18.
3 Fire fighting system
(1) In the fire protection system, the thickness of the box should also be considered in the selection of fire hydrant box type; Which floors are decompression fire hydrants; Whether there is a fire scroll; Whether it is used in combination with a fire extinguisher; Fire hydrant box corresponds to the number of pages in the national standard atlas 15S202. These are all places that are easy to be omitted or made mistakes in the description, which need special attention. In this project, according to the setting and pressure requirements, all floors above the ground (4~ 18) adopt decompression and pressure stabilization thin fire hydrant box, and other floors above the ground adopt ordinary thin indoor fire hydrant box with fire reels; The basement adopts ordinary indoor fire hydrant box.
(2) Selection of spray head: The form of spray head needs to be confirmed according to the location and height of spray setting and whether there is a ceiling. When selecting the nozzle of the side wall extension cover, it is easy to ignore that the nozzle protection area is different with different pressure values and different K coefficient values. Especially in the setting of hotel rooms, the choice of nozzles should be based on the actual situation of the room. This project adopts: side wall type extended cover sprinkler with discharge coefficient K= 1 15 and certified area of 4.9mx6.7m.
4 Equipment and pipelines
(1) Sanitary ware: The selection of sanitary ware needs to strictly control the requirements of engineering setting. Please refer to the relevant atlas. Atlas is easy to encounter the problems of missing items and inconsistent page numbers. Generally expressed in the form of a list (such as table 1). (2) pipeline. Different systems correspond to different pipelines, and different pipelines correspond to different connection methods and different pressure requirements, and corresponding valves and fittings are adopted accordingly [1]. Hotels involve hot water systems. The hot water system adopts thin-walled stainless steel pipes, and the corresponding pipeline pressure is 2.0Mpa (determined according to the pressure demand of hot water supply). At the same time, the requirements related to the thermal insulation setting of hot water pipes should be described according to the corresponding pipelines, pipe diameters and local requirements.
5 pressure test
After the construction is completed, relevant pipelines and piping systems need to have corresponding pressure test requirements. Many designers will wonder how this pressure value is obtained. The legend table in the design description is the premise reference for readers to understand the design content of drawings, and should be standardized and improved as much as possible. Firstly, the standard legend of water supply and drainage drawings should be given priority to, and secondly, the actual use of the project should be corresponding. In practical application, user-defined linetypes corresponding to various systems are often used, which need to be clearly expressed on the legend table, so as to facilitate the construction personnel to quickly compare the drawings (as shown in Figure 2). There are many items and omissions in the actual design, which require designers to be more careful in the drawing process.

The design description seems simple, but in fact it is complicated. As the first impression of the whole project, it is a basic requirement for us to be simple, clear, well-founded and in line with the actual situation of the project.
