Trimethylhydroxysilane and hexamethyldisiloxane are non-toxic chemicals. From the field monitoring, it has no effect on the PH value of the river.

In order to cope with possible hazards, Heilongjiang launched an emergency plan on the evening of 28th, and set up multiple defense lines in Songhua River Basin of Heilongjiang Province to ensure complete interception at Dadingzishan Water Conservancy Project Hub.
