Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province is divided into five administrative regions, namely Liangxi District, Xishan District, Huishan District, Binhu District and Wuxin District, and two county-level cities, namely Jiangyin and Yixing.

Wuxi generally refers to Wuxi city. Wuxi, referred to as "xi" for short and called Liangxi in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, a city in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta, and a class of big cities. It is located in East China, south of Jiangsu Province, bordering Suzhou in the east, Huzhou in Zhejiang and Xuancheng in Anhui in the south and southwest, Changzhou in the west, the Yangtze River in the north, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passing through the territory.
