What if the property company is caught stealing electricity?

Legal analysis: stealing electricity is an illegal act, and it should bear corresponding legal responsibilities, including civil responsibility, administrative responsibility and even criminal responsibility. Stealing electricity makes it possible for the thief not to pay or underpay the electricity fee, which will cause the loss of electricity fee for power supply enterprises, property management enterprises or other users, infringe on others' property and cause others' economic losses. For the economic losses caused by electricity charges, the injured party may require the electricity thief to bear corresponding civil liabilities.

Legal basis: Article 71 of the Electricity Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), whoever steals electricity shall be ordered by the administrative department of electric power to stop the illegal act, recover the electricity fee, and be fined not more than five times the electricity fee.
