Is the spread of Buddhism to the south a primitive gesture? Why is Mahayana not said by Buddha? Please know Dade's liberation?

Academically (pay attention to these two words), Southern Buddhism really "approached" the original posture of Buddhism.

Many of their things keep many primitive Buddhist habits, such as eating once a day, begging for food, not grasping money and so on.

However, we must also note that Southern Buddhism, even though it is considered to be close to primitive Buddhism in academic circles, is not the original attitude of Buddhism advocated by them. For example, Southern Buddhism generally claimed to be sitting on a Buddha, but historically, the existing Southern Buddhism was only a branch of the Red Copper Sect in the Buddhist period.

For example, scholars believe that if primitive Buddhism is a blank sheet of paper, Mahayana Buddhism is painted with colored paper, while Southern Buddhism is painted with colored paper but there is no way to do it.

So you have to ask, is the spread of Buddhism to the south the original posture of Buddhism?

My answer is, no, but this is the closest gesture. Moreover, it is not a self-proclaimed "seated" Buddhism.

Mahayana is not the Buddha's problem!

This is not only a controversial issue for many years, but also a viewpoint put forward by the archaeological community.

Simply put, scholars believe that the Mahayana Classic was forged by later generations, and its teachings do not represent Buddhism. The closest thing to Sakyamuni's teachings in history is Southern Buddhism.

This is why in recent years, it has been said that Mahayana is not a Buddha, but that it is the Buddha who spread to the south.

Actually, I made an analogy before. If scholars think that true Buddhism is a blank sheet of paper, then the spread from the south to the north is dirty paper, but the former is lighter than the latter.

However, some people who learn to spread to the south have always regarded themselves as orthodox. In the face of Mahayana Buddhism, they will take out scholars' articles to refute Mahayana, but they will become hysterical in the face of polluted content in their own Sect. Is this also a strange phenomenon?

Similarly, in Southern Buddhism, there are cities with relatively light pollution. For example, many people tend to follow the teachings of Southern Buddhism. Compared with Thailand and Myanmar, Myanmar is better and purer, and the states in central Myanmar are better than the surrounding areas. Similarly, internally, some people's affairs will also be questioned. For example, someone mentioned Ven. Ma Xinda's Do You Know Buddhism, a respected teacher, was rejected by mainstream elders and desperately developed in Myanmar.

In short, regardless of whether the landlord is interested in Mahayana Buddhism or Southern Buddhism, my advice to you is to see more, listen more and learn more. We are Buddhists, so we should not easily fall victim to sectarian strife. I have been in contact with Buddhism for many years, and I always feel that there are rivers and lakes where there are people, and the water inside is very deep. Don't throw yourself into that "great virtue" easily. We study Buddhism, not to fight.

Personally, I have faith, and it is not easy to say it objectively if I want to jump. Write here for the landlord's reference. :)
